2019 SYSA HOUSE LEAGUE COACHES
SYSA is always looking for those interested in coaching girls or boys from 6 thru 18 years old.
BC SOCCER HAS MANDATED THAT ALL COACHES complete the appropriate Canadian Soccer Association/BC Soccer coaching clinic respective to the age group of the team they are considering coaching.
SYSA will be hosting the following course clinics. Clinics are free to all SYSA coach committed to coaching in the 2019 season.
- Fundamentals Coaching Clinic (for those interested in coaching ages U6 – U8) is Saturday, April 4 2020. This is a 1 day course from 9am – 5pm. This course will be held at the SYSA office.

Any parent attending the above clinics will have their applicable child’s registration fee’s reimbursed for the Spring 2020 Season.
Criminal Record Check for Volunteers & Coaches
Shuswap Youth Soccer requires that all volunteers and coaches over the age of 19 must submit a Criminal Record Check. SYSA policy recognizes valid Criminal Record Checks (CRC) for 3 years and after that time volunteers will need to resubmit. If you have had CRC done for another organization or employer, you can electronically share your results or provide a copy to SYSA admin.
The BC Provincial Government has implemented its own CRC process providing free checks for non-profit groups. In order to begin your Criminal Record Check, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org to request SYSA’s unique access code. Next, visit the secureCriminal Record Check Home page to request a new CRC (an option to share a previous check is also provided).
You are also welcome to come to the SYSA office during posted hours and we will assist you with the online CRC process. The site is quite user-friendly, simply follow the prompts. If you experience any issues there is contact information available:
